TO THE BRIGHT EDGE OF THE WORLD in pictures

August 2, 2016

Today we publish TO THE BRIGHT EDGE OF THE WORLD, the second novel from Eowyn Ivey, author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist THE SNOW CHILD. Eowyn’s second novel takes us back to the wilds of Alaska that she brought so vividly to life in her first novel, following the journey of Lieutenant Colonel Allen Forrester, who takes on the daunting task of navigating the impassable Wolverine River for the first time. Narrated entirely through letters between Allen and his wife Sophie, their diary entries, and the correspondence of those around them, the novel is also unique in that it is peppered with images that jump from the page, including those taken by a real life expedition similar to Forrester’s, as well as images taken by Eowyn herself. Take a look below for a sample of these, and gain an inkling of the magical world that Eowyn has once again conjured into being.
